Over the most recent session, House Majority Leader Brenden Jones delivered more than $174 million in direct funding for projects in Columbus and Robeson Counties. Since coming to Raleigh, he has secured more than $700 million in investments for House District 46, bringing real resources home for infrastructure, education, public safety, and economic growth.

Since arriving in Raleigh, Majority Leader Brenden Jones has passed 17 bills, more than any other current member of the North Carolina House of Representatives. His record of results earned him recognition from one newspaper as “the most efficient member of the North Carolina General Assembly.”
Leader Jones’s legislative work reflects a strong commitment to public safety, government accountability, and fiscal responsibility. His notable accomplishments include:
- State Modernization Act – Streamlining operations and improving spending efficiency across state government.
- Conner’s Law – Honoring fallen Trooper Kevin Conner by strengthening penalties for assaults on law enforcement and increasing death benefits for families of officers killed in the line of duty.
- Criminal Illegal Alien Enforcement Act – Ensuring North Carolina sheriffs cooperate completely with federal immigration authorities to protect communities and uphold the rule of law.
House Oversight
Representative Jones currently serves as Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, where he has led efforts to uncover waste, fraud, and abuse across state and local government.
Under his leadership, the committee exposed corruption within the North Carolina Office of Recovery and Resiliency (NCORR) related to mismanagement of hurricane recovery funds, and investigated Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS) for maintaining inappropriate materials in school libraries and violating parental-rights protections under Senate Bill 49.
